Cannabis tisane is one of the preferred ways to use cannabis. But it is not enough to infuse cannabis flowers to feel the effects! As explained in another article, cannabis molecules, especially CBD, are not water soluble. To benefit from its relaxing effect, you must absorb a fat body soaked in cannabis, such as milk or butter. That’s why we recommend the preparation of a Chaï tea so that it is effective. You can also put a few drops of CBD oil in a Chaï tea for faster preparation.
Chaï tea recipe with cannabis
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1-3 grams of cannabis depending on the quality of the raw material and the desired power
- Aromatic spices (vanilla, cinnamon, tea, ginger, lemon)
What to do
- Reduce a few grams of cannabis to powder. You can add other ground spices such as tea, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, cloves, etc., depending on your taste.
- Add your ground spices to cold milk, preferably in a double boiler to avoid burning the milk.
- Simmer over medium heat for at least an hour. You can leave it infusing for two hours if you have time. It takes a long time because cannabis has to be decarboxylate. This process transforms passive molecules into active molecules (CBD, THC) by heating. If you don’t infuse long enough, or at too low a temperature, you’ll feel little or no effect. If you have CBD oil you can directly put in milk a few drops as it has already been debalted.
- Taste and adjust your milk to suit your taste (add sugar or spices).
- Allow to cool and filter your milk to get rid of herbs and spices. Squeeze the residue well to recover all the fat that contains the cannabinoids.
- Enjoy your cannabis hers!
Note Bene: It is possible to simply prepare a milk and then add what you want (chocolate powder, tea…). You can also use CBD oil or CBD crystals.
The effect takes quite a long time to be felt, because by ingesting cannabis, digestion must release the active molecules. This can take up to three hours, so avoid an overdose.
