How to make Cannabis-infused Rum?

Making cannabis rum is very easy! This quick alcohol-based recipe allows you to make 75cl of liqueur in 4 days. The goal is not to extract as many cannabinoids as possible, just to have fun with a simple and effective recipe.

This basic recipe will allow you to make delicious cocktails flavored with cannabis and containing cannabinoids, then to be consumed in moderation.

Rhum infusé au cannabis

Ingredient for 75cl of Rum infused with cannabis

  • 8 grams of cannabis in bloom
  • A 75 cl bottle of Rum

You can, at your convenience, use white, brown or black rum depending on the cocktails you want to make.

What to do

  1. Coarsely grind the cannabis flowers and stir them into the rum bottle.
  2. Keep it there in a cool, dark place. Don’t forget to stir the bottle twice a day.
  3. On the fourth day, boil a large pot of water. Turn off the heat once the water is boiling. Put the bottle upright, open, in the water of the pan, and let it warm for 30 minutes. The water level should not exceed the bottle. The heat helps to decarboxyle the cannabinoids, and will allow the infusion into the alcohol.
  4. Strain the cannabis and put the rum back in the bottle.

You can now use this rum to complement the cocktail of your choice!
