Elimination of the tobacco tax on CBD flowers

The Federal Court has admitted that the tobacco tax of 25 on the sale price of CBD cannabis flowers is abusive and ordered its termination!

This information raises serious questions for buyers and producers. A drop in prices in the middle is to be expected up to the existing tax. This would allow legal cannabis to be more accessible and no longer pejorize people who use cannabis in a food, tisane or chocolate cake.

Until separate legislation is decided for cannabis, we are closely monitoring the decisions of the competent authorities via the Ci Chanvre, of which we have been a member since 2017. This association works with various legislative bodies in Switzerland to create standards and consistent legislation for our industry.

We are awaiting the decisions of the other authorities on the issue, including customs, in order to adapt to the new legislation in force.
